Hi Bryn- Nice name! I have just retired (age 59) and am thinking about moving to Fredericksburg and am interested in whether the university has programs for lifelong learning in place. General programs are of interest but also I am interested specifically in gender studies and womens’ history. When I saw the piece on the multicultural festival It made me think I am making a good decision. What can you share? Thanks, bryn

Thanks for your comment, Bryn! The university offers a multitude of lectures and public events every year, including the Chappell Great Lives Lecture Series: https://www.umw.edu/greatlives/. We also host many multicultural events through the James Farmer Multicultural Center: http://students.umw.edu/multicultural/.
We recently created a women’s and gender studies program: http://cas.umw.edu/wgst/. If you are interested in enrolling as a student, please call our Office of Admissions at (540) 654-2000.
