Social media, including sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and Flickr, offer new opportunities to share information and connect with others in “real time.” Social media platforms thrive on creativity and spontaneity; however, to ensure consistency across the University, the Office of University Relations has developed a set of social media guidelines and best practices. The document, available as a PDF document, reviews general guidelines for University-affiliated social media pages, proper usage of the brand and logo, opportunities to share with official UMW pages and helpful resources.
