To confirm your intent to attend Mary Washington, you can either send a check or pay online.
Fall Deadline:
UMW’s first-year enrollment deposit deadline is May 1, 2025. If you require additional time, please reach out to your admission counselor or the Admissions Office (admit@umw.edu) to discuss an extended filing date. Your admission counselor will be happy to review your aid, once packaged, as well as any remaining out of pocket cost, and discuss additional need-based opportunities with you.

Deposits
Residential: $550 (includes the $250 housing deposit)
Commuter: $300
To pay online, enter your Student ID below and confirm that your name appears on all subsequent pages. By submitting your deposit electronically, you are enrolling and your deposit is non-refundable after May 1 (for first-year fall enrollment).
Notice: Some users are currently experiencing issues with our payment system when using Google Chrome as their web browser. While we work on a fix, please try the following:
- Use a different browser, such as Safari, Edge, or Firefox.
- If using Chrome, clear the cache:
- Click the three dots in the top right corner
- Select Settings
- Click Privacy and Security
- Click Clear/Delete browsing data
- Choose a time range (recommended: “All time”)

Benefits to paying early include:
- NET ID creation for portal and email access. You will not be able to create your ID until you pay your enrollment deposit.
- Early registration for June orientation dates where you will select your courses for the fall semester.
