To all UMW students:
I’m writing to update you about the UMW summer session. While the COVID-19 pandemic prevents us from hosting any in-person classes, we will have a wide variety of distance education courses available including some new classes that have just been added to the schedule. Faculty are working diligently to transition in-person classes to the virtual format.
Summer session courses are on schedule to begin on May 18. Summer session registration is currently open through Banner self-service. The list of courses scheduled is available at the Registrar’s web page. No registration appointment is required to register for the summer session. Talking with one’s advisor is a good idea before registering.
Any courses you see on the schedule with a listed meeting time are in the process of transitioning to a virtual format. We are offering courses in the following summer terms:
- May/June term – May 18 – June 18
- Eight Week term – May 18 – July 10
- Ten Week term – May 18 – July 23
- June/July term – June 22 – July 23
While we regret the circumstances, we are excited about the possibilities you will have this summer for catching up or moving ahead in your intended plan of study. Take a look at the summer schedule and see the options available that just might work for you.
