1:00 p.m. Advisory to Campus
Power has been restored to the Fredericksburg Campus, and classes can resume in-person in the impacted buildings beginning at 2 p.m. today, April 25. The morning power outage impacted several buildings on the north end of campus, from the Cedric Rucker University Center to Jepson Science Center. Employees in these buildings may return to their offices and classrooms.
Lunch is being served on the first floor of the Cedric Rucker University Center through 2 p.m.. Please check UMW Dining on Facebook or join the UMWFoodies by texting 82257 for updates on Dining Services today. Dinner is planned to begin at 5 p.m.
Stafford and Dahlgren Campuses remain open on normal operations. The Fredericksburg Campus has resumed normal operations.
We appreciate your patience amid changes to the schedule during the unexpected power outage today. If your area has any additional concerns related to the power in a building, please submit a work order through Facilities Operations.

11:30 a.m. Advisory to Campus
The power outage impacting the north side of the Fredericksburg Campus continues, with the power company on site to address the issue. The power may come on and off as the repairs are made.
We will continue to provide updates throughout the day, about an hour before the next posted class time, with the next update estimated for 1 p.m. for 2 p.m. classes. Faculty with classes in these buildings only can make alternative arrangements as the power outage continues. Employees in these buildings should work remotely and work with their supervisor on plans today.

- Mercer Hall

A power outage is impacting UMW’s Fredericksburg Campus this morning, Thursday, April 25.
The power outage impacts buildings from the Cedric Rucker University Center north through the Jepson Science Center. Faculty with classes in these buildings only may make alternative arrangements for classes this morning. We will communicate updates and an estimated timeline for repairs when it is available.
Employees in these buildings should work remotely and work with their supervisor on plans today.
