Fredericksburg Police (FPD) units are searching for a suspect in a grand larceny. He was last seen below the University moving on foot near the 700 block of Cornell Street. FPD units and K-9 teams are working with UMW Police to search near and around the Fredericksburg campus. The suspect is described as a white male approximately 18 years old, 5’6” tall and about 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing dark shorts, a gray hoody, and — possibly — a red beanie hat.
Be on guard. If he is spotted, do not approach this individual. Remain aware of your surroundings. Immediately report any sightings or suspicious activity to 911, or contact University Police at 654-1025.The UMW Police also may be reached by dialing ext. 4444 on an on-campus phone. UMW Police maintain direct radio and phone contact with the Fredericksburg Police.
