UMW will open with normal operations on Wednesday, Jan. 17, resuming classes, activities, and events as scheduled on all three campuses (Fredericksburg, Stafford, Dahlgren).
Our Facilities and Grounds crews will follow up in the early morning to address any areas of concern in parking lots and walkways. Again, we appreciate their work throughout the day to remove the snow in these areas. If you are on-campus, please be aware of any remaining slushy areas and navigate the open pathways carefully. As temperatures remain below freezing, any wet areas may become icy. The roadway behind Bushnell Hall to Marshall and Russell Halls will be closed as the snow continues to melt on the hill.
Please note the evening schedule changes for UMW Dining with many locations closing early by 7 p.m. today, Jan. 16, and continue to check UMW Dining on Facebook or join the UMWFoodies by texting 82257.
As campus resumes normal operations on Wednesday, Jan. 17, we understand that weather and road conditions may vary in your location. For prior updates on Tuesday, Jan. 16, please check the winter weather advisory. Note that evening classes and public events are canceled on Tuesday, Jan. 16, including the Great Lives lecture.
