She is winner of the 2020 James B. Gouger II Award and the Meriwether Lewis and William Clark Award.⁠ ⁠ Hannah used geographic techniques in her research, including the interviews that she conducted for her Honors Thesis which explores how students’ create a sense of home in their residence halls. In other research, Hannah examined the spaces of smartphones, showing how they function similar to physical spaces by connecting people socially. Hannah is also completing UMW’s Honor Program.
