Commencement Venue
The Commencement ceremony will be on Ball Circle located on our Fredericksburg campus. The venue is fully accessible and will be set with over 5,000 folding chairs. No tickets are required and graduates are not limited in the number of guests they invite to attend the ceremony. Guests are invited to find a seat on a first-come, first-serve basis. The field will open to guests at 7 a.m.
The ceremony will be streamed live on a large screen at Ball Circle showing a close-up of each graduate as they cross the stage. Guest may view the ceremony from the following indoor locations: George Washington Hall, Dodd Auditorium, Cedric Rucker University Center, Colonnade Room, and Lee Hall, Room 411. For guests unable to attend in person, a link to view the ceremony live will be on the homepage of the university.
Parking
Guests and graduates may park in any space on campus that is not designated as reserved, handicapped, or full. The parking deck on Alvey Drive is available for parking as well. Additional parking may be found along College Avenue. All city parking restrictions are lifted to celebrate commencement. The George Washington lot is reserved for handicapped parking. You must display your handicapped placard or have a designated license plate to park in this lot. Golf cart shuttles will transport guests needing special assistance between the George Washington lot and Ball Circle.
Parking will be available at the locations below. Parking is not allowed in the Eagle Village (Giant) parking lot. Parked vehicles will be towed.
