Dr. Claudine Ferrell

Professor of History and Chair of the Department of History and American Studies

Claudine Ferrell, Professor of History and Chair of the Department of History and American Studies, came to Mary Washington after receiving her B.A. and M.A. from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) and her Ph.D. in American Legal and Constitutional History from Rice University in Houston, Texas. She teaches a wide array of courses on American history, including American Disasters, the United States and Vietnam, The Home Front: The United States during World War I, and African American history.
