Dr. Melanie Kay-Wyatt
Director of Human Resources, Spotsylvania County Schools
Melanie Kay-Wyatt is the director of human resources for Spotsylvania County Schools in Fredericksburg, Va. She also serves as president of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, a membership-based non-profit organization founded in 1943 with more than 125,000 members from more than 128 countries, Kay-Wyatt received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Mary Washington College in 1992, a masters’ degree in special education from Old Dominion University in 2000, and a master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of Mary Washington in 2006. She earned her doctorate in educational leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2014, and she has served as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, and principal.
