Walter Via, Adjunct Instructor Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, earned a B.S. in Conservation Biology from George Mason University and an M.S. in Natural Resource Management from Oregon State University. Additionally, Mr. Via has a Graduate Certificate Fisheries Management also from Oregon State University. Mr. Via’s areas of Expertise include: Environmental Science, Biology, Oceanography, Fisheries, and Chemistry.
A “Professional Associate” in the American Institute of Fishery Research Biologists and a “Fisheries Professional” in the American Fisheries Society, Mr. Via has been volunteering on special projects and biological research with the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources, assessing striped bass habitat in Lake Anna, VA. Mr. Via is also a member of the American Chemical Society and the American Nuclear Society.
