Dr. Thaxter earned his Ph.D. in Clinical-Child Psychology from DePaul University and a B.S. in Psychology (minor in Music) from the College of William & Mary. He has worked as an Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapist, in-home crisis counselor, child and family therapist, though he has focused primarily on psychological/neuropsychological assessment of children and adolescents. His clinical interests include neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD), learning disorders, and behavior problems in children. Dr. Thaxter currently works as a School Psychologist for Prince William County Schools.
