What if Cupid has something to teach us as leaders? Cupid may well be showing us to “Lead with our hearts”. Let’s allow ourselves to be open to others and try to understand what is in another’s heart. Where could be go as leaders if we really look inside the other person? We should take the time to know them, listen to their words, restating what they said to gain clarity, showing that we care and then moving forward “together”. We have heard this before but putting it into practice is as hard as shooting an arrow and hitting our target.
Let’s arm ourselves with a bow and arrows to aim our goodness to someone else as well as ourselves. I asked the panel from January’s blog to add some words for the February blog. Read on….

If someone offers you an opportunity or a challenge, take it. Don’t just demure because it would require more work or energy or is a bit risky. Leap at the big chances and see how far you can run.

Look for the positive in everything and everyone. Don’t judge. Be kind.

None of us got to where we were by ourselves… make sure you help someone else along the way (especially young women just entering the workforce).

Don’t forget to love and take care of yourself. You cannot lead nor give of yourself to others if you first don’t care for yourself. Take time to find your passion and let your arrows fly.
