More than 150 first-year Mary Washington students attended summer Orientation on Wednesday, June 14, and Thursday, June 15, 2017.
By the end of the month – with a total of six two-day sessions scheduled – that number will swell to more than a thousand.
Designed to get first-year students – both freshmen and transfers – acquainted with campus and on track toward a successful college experience, Orientation is packed with information sessions, workshops and spirit-building activities. Students, along with their parents, learn about the Honor Code, EagleOne cards, Domain of One’s Own, extracurricular opportunities, campus safety and more. Students also can meet with academic advisors and register for classes.
Orientation sessions for transfer students take place in May, June and July.
For more information about Orientation and details about the two-day schedule, contact the Office of Student Involvement at orientation@umw.edu or 540-654-1061.
