With the forecast of heavy rain and wind this weekend in Fredericksburg due to the tropical storm impacting the East Coast, this weekend’s Open House, set for Saturday, Sept. 23, has been canceled.
The University of Mary Washington welcomes future Eagles and their families to campus this fall for an Open House on Saturday, Sept. 23, Oct. 21 or Nov. 11. These weekend events offer an opportunity to experience a slice of campus life with a showcase of academic programs and student services, time with current students to explore campus, and breakout sessions based on interests and career goals. Students can experience several aspects of Mary Washington, in just a few hours, maximizing their time on campus.
High school seniors who have applied to Mary Washington before the event date can also schedule a Taking Flight Interview during their visit and earn up to $2,000 toward their first year at Mary Washington. Those who have a completed application on file can also elect on-site admissions to receive their decision during the day.
“Prospective students can learn about UMW at a broad level if they are just beginning their search or if they are ready they can learn a lot of the details all in the same day! For high school seniors who have UMW at the top of their list they can leave with an admissions decision in hand!” said UMW Director of First-Year Admission Sarah Lindberg. “Our community is here to answer your questions, from the admissions process through Life After Mary Washington and everything in between.”
Transfer students are also welcome to attend with a dedicated transfer and financial aid session during the day.
