Hundreds of University of Mary Washington alumni, family and friends will converge onto the Fredericksburg campus this weekend, Oct. 20-21, to celebrate Homecoming weekend.
Festivities will include UMW’s annual tailgating event beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Battleground Athletic Complex for an afternoon of sports competition. Key matchups include women’s rugby against alumni, men’s rugby versus Virginia Tech, women’s field hockey against Salisbury University, women’s volleyball against Southern Virginia University, and men and women’s soccer against Christopher Newport University.
Attendees are asked to pre-register before Thursday, Oct. 19, to take advantage of a combined brunch and tailgating ticket for $20. If space is available, on-site registrations will be accepted on the day of the event. On-site brunch tickets are $20 and tailgating is $10. On-site tickets are cash only.
