Jefferson Hall

Jefferson Hall is a mixed-sex residence hall named for Thomas Jefferson, president of the United States and founder of the University of Virginia. Jefferson Hall is adjacent to Combs, where the English, Linguistics, Language, and Speech Departments are housed.

The first hall to have elevators, Jefferson has hall bathrooms and features single and double rooms. The 1st through 4th floors have at least two kitchenettes per floor, one in each wing of each floor. Kitchenettes include microwaves, sinks, counter space, and cabinets. However, the kitchenettes do not provide ovens or stoves. A full kitchen is available to students on the basement floor, next to the laundry room and vending machines.  The first floor includes a lobby, provided with a beloved ping-pong table, a plethora of furniture, and a big-screen TV!

The large field in front of Jefferson is often populated by students soaking up the sun, studying under the large shady trees, lounging in the Adirondack chairs listening to someone strumming their guitar, or just playing a game of football. There is nearly always someone out on the field when the weather is right!
