SEP Application 2025

  • To be used in communication, rosters, and name tags should you attend the program

  • Demographic questions regarding gender, ethnicity/race, locality, and education level are used to provide internal feedback on the scope of our outreach efforts
  • Carefully enter the parent/guardian email. All important confirmations, messages, deadlines, and reminders will be sent to this email address. Please be sure that enrichment@umw.edu is in your safe emails list so no email goes to spam.

  • We request that you provide a personal email, if possible, instead of a school email – many school districts have firewalls to block outside emails. Student emails are only used for the program correspondence and registering students for computer access for some SEP classes.

  • I understand that the cost of the program is $1200*. A $300 deposit will be due April 15, 2025 with the remaining balance of $900 due within the following three month period. Payment links will be sent out to the email address(es) provided in this application. I acknowledge that I will be removed from the program if any required payments are not received on time and in the proper amount. I also acknowledge the refund policy as outlined on the website: https://www.umw.edu/summer/sep/payment-information/ *GEAR UP campers will NOT be charged nor receive payment links.
  • Students who excel in UMW’s Summer Enrichment Program (SEP) are academically motivated, self-directed, and demonstrate respect for camp rules, faculty, staff, peers, and individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Applications are evaluated for evidence of these qualities. While a minimum GPA of 2.8 is generally required for admission, personal essays carry significant weight in the review process. Applicants are encouraged to submit authentic, thoughtful essays, written in their own words, that offer insight into their interests, attitudes, and motivations. By continuing with this application, you acknowledge and understand these expectations.

Explain why you think the choices agree or disagree.
