Spaces throughout the Cedric Rucker University Center are available for departments, student clubs, and non-University entities to reserve. In addition to Chandler Ballroom, the Colonnade Room, the Capital Room, the Gourley and South Living Rooms, the three Kiosks, and the CRUC Patio can be booked.
Use the links in the list at the left to help you create your event. Take a look at the CRUC Building Rules and Guidelines for what you can and cannot do at the CRUC. Safety rules are in there too. You don’t want anything to interrupt your event.
Making a Request
Event requests by UMW faculty, departments, and staff are put directly into 25Live. 25live is the definitive schedule for room use at the CRUC. If this is your first time using the 25live system, please read through the 25Live guide. Click the button below to access the 25Live Dashboard:
Event requests by students or student clubs go through the Student Activities and Engagement Office via the Presence/MyUMW system. Those requests, once approved by SAE, are then entered into the 25live scheduling system. Only after the request is approved in 25live is the space considered reserved. Unaffiliated Individuals and Entities should reach out to the Office of Events and Conferencing for more information on booking and fees. University-sponsored events limit the number of outside activities that can be scheduled during the year when classes are in session. Unaffiliated Individuals and Entities requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Space may be available from mid-May to mid-August, and during student breaks. There needs to be available space, staffing, and resources to fully support a request. Click the button below to see how to book:
